Updating or adding your products may initially appear daunting, but with the right approach, providing this can be a seamless process. We offer you a few options for keeping your products in DC accurate and up-to-date.

Ideally, the format we receive during onboarding will be used for future product data updates. If you need to change the way you provide data, you will need to complete our Product Data Format Change Request form. Please complete this request before sending updates in the new format, as it may take additional time to process. If you are unsure of the format used when onboarding, reach out to our data team at product-team@distributorcentral.com

1. Bulk Product Manager for Updates via a Custom, DC, SAGE, or ASI Spreadsheet

Update your products in bulk!

To update your DC products:

  1. Export a spreadsheet of your DC products or Download a Blank Spreadsheet to get started
  2. Update the product information in the spreadsheet you just exported from DC
  3. Upload the updated file back into DC through the Bulk Product Manager for import
  4. Once uploaded the Product Data Team will import your updates. In the meantime, you can refer to the imports table to track the progress of your imports. When the import is complete, you will get notified via email from our product team - this will come from product-team@distributorcentral.com

NOTE: You can also upload your own product data spreadsheet or utilize spreadsheets from other service providers instead of the DC product spreadsheet for updates. Just ensure that all new updates follow the same spreadsheet format.


2. Product Data Updates: Import via FTP Upload

Add or update your DC products automatically via FTP Upload
To get started, send DistributorCentral's product data team your custom product data spreadsheet. We'll work with you to build an import process to handle your custom data template in future updates.

Once the custom process is created by DC's product team, your product data updates get automatically processed when uploaded via SFTP.

3. Already Existing PromoStandards Data

Automatically update or add your DC products through PromoStandards endpoints. If your company already utilizes PromoStandards that are self-hosted or hosted elsewhere, our data team can seamlessly connect to them via OneSource. Once OneSource has your PromoStandards data, our team will collaborate with you to rectify any validation errors identified. Following successful validation, a thorough review ensures your products are showcased accurately on DC. Subsequently, we establish the connection between DC and OneSource to effortlessly integrate your PromoStandards data.
